Each car undergoes tire replacement every several years. This is due to tire wear that reduces the grip tires have on the ground. More frequent tire replacements can be expensive as a set of four new tires can cost $200 – $800. Worst yet, not changing tires can be unsafe. In order to extend the interval between each tire replacement, it’s recommended to get a tire rotation frequently.

Tire rotations made simple
We are able to rotate tires using the equipment we have in our vans. We simply need to put the car on a jack, lift it, remove the tires, and relocate them either vertically or diagonally. Tire rotations usually take about 15 minutes to complete however, some cars that have been lowered, or that have custom rims can take a little longer to service. Ultimately, you’ll save time by not having to drive through traffic to get to the mechanic. We’ll come to you.
How do I know if my car needs a tire rotation?
Most cars get their tires rotated every 5,000 miles. Many times, car owners tend to get tire rotations while their cars are getting an oil change. As mentioned in our oil change page, the time between oil changes can vary greatly. It can depend on the type of oil used and the car owners driving habits.
Always consult your manufacturer’s maintenance schedule for detailed information on tire rotations.
What happens if I don’t rotate my tires?
Avoiding tire rotations will shorten the life of your car’s tires. Since your car’s front wheels turn (and because the car is heavier in the front due to its engine), the front tires tend to wear out faster than do the rear tires. As an example, whereas front tires that are routinely rotated can last you 40,000 miles, tires that aren’t routinely rotated can last you less. As a result, you might be changing tires sooner and more frequently over the life of your car. This can result in more expensive car related costs each year.
Additionally, not getting your tires rotated can also mean that you aren’t getting their tread levels checked. As a result, it’s possible that low tread levels can be ignored. If a car owner with low tire tread levels drives on the highway under extreme conditions (e.g. heavy rain), they’ll find the car to be less responsive. Simply put, it can be dangerous. The grooves on a tire help provide grip to the ground and help water escape thereby preventing hydroplaning (when the car slides).
Take care of your tires, get them rotated.
